“Stay a while, and listen...“
About Me:
My name is Julia Seavey, as the domain name suggests. I am a college freshman, currently attending Delaware County Community College. I am in school pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science: Anthropology and plan on transferring to either West Chester University or Temple University in the future. Behavioral Science is just one part of my plan for the future; I plan to study criminology in the near future as well. During my free time I enjoy painting, playing video games, writing short stories, being surrounded by nature and more. I enjoy people and things that are a little weird and strange, as I like to learn what motivates and drives others; I spend a great deal of time observing my surroundings. I value peace and wit, and I like to think that everyone is (in some way) a living contradiction, although this is not always a bad thing. People are complex creatures, and it baffles me when people think that our thoughts, emotions, and motivations can be linear, with no lines, values, morals or anything of the like crossing. There are many cases in which I think that these lines cross, but I digress.
I find that the society we live in is an interesting one, full of changes both good and bad. I like to see both the light and the darkness in many things, not just because it helps to form a more unbiased opinion but because it reveals more about whatever it is you are observing. While I may not be the most vocal person there is I do notice a lot of detail. This may have come while I was focused on practicing my drawing and painting, but sometimes the detail and effort behind a person and their actions can mean something more than the final result. It's all a matter of circumstance and the underlying story behind the final result.
I absolutely love to travel and see the world around me. Sadly, I have not yet been out of the country, but I do plan on travelling to at least England or somewhere in Europe when I get a chance. My parents made it a tradition to take my brother and me to Wildwood and Ocean City during our summers away from school. However, we have done more than this; we've flown and been in various parts of Florida, have driven to and from South Carolina and driven to and from Connecticut. I thoroughly love being on the road and seeing new places, and as of recent I have made friends with people in different places, so I would love to have the chance to actually meet them. Life's a journey that shouldn't be ignored for fear of what bad may come; experience will always change. Currently, my goal is to get my license and a car so I can travel to Centralia, PA.
I will probably come back to this and edit it as I see fit. A lot of things like this I find myself editing; there's always something more I want to say or something I feel as unnecessary and that should be removed. In addition to this, I do plan on keeping this site after my college course ends, so if you do enjoy the things I write then you do not have to worry about me disappearing once the semester is over. I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me in my little corner of the internet. Enjoy your stay on my page.
